Cambodia is a Southeast Asia, independent country whose landscape spans low-lying plains that has a population of more than 7 millions people. With a surface area of 181,035 sq. km and once a French colony, it is the least known Indochinese country.

It’s largest city and capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh is renowned for its beauty. In particularly the area that surrounds the Royal Palace where the Khmer towers share the boulevard with cultured French villas overlooking the banks of Tonlé Sap river. Phnom Penh has been the national capital since French colonization of Cambodia and has grown to become the nation’s center of economic and industrial activities.

Cambodia is also known as the land Of Temples. Do visit famous landmark building such as; Bayon, Banteay Srei, Preah Khan and last but not least the world famous Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. It was first a Hindu and later a Buddhist temple. It was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in in Yaśodharapura , the capital of the Khmer Empire.

Interesting Etiquette: #1 – It is considered polite to verbally refuse a gift before accepting it. This shows that the recipient is not greedy.
#2 – Items to avoid include scissors, knives or other cutting utensils as they indicate that you want to sever the relationship.
